Overview

What is skilled manpower recruitment?

It means hiring people whose job depends on a qualification. Engineers and nurses are the usual examples. Safety officers and IT specialists count too.

KDA Hiring, based in Lucknow and licensed by the MEA, recruits these professionals from India for companies in all six GCC countries. We verify credentials, call references and help with licensing and degree attestation. The employer pays us. Candidates don't.

Before you meet anyone we send

  • Degree and licence seen in original
  • At least one former manager called
  • Licensing and attestation started early

The difference

Why hiring professionals takes a different approach

You can watch a welder work and know within an hour whether they're any good. You can't do that with a planning engineer. What you're paying for is years of judgement, and that only shows up in conversation and in what past managers say.

Then there's the paperwork. Degrees often need attesting in India and again by the embassy. Some jobs also need a Gulf licence before day one. If a step gets missed, a good candidate can sit at home for weeks.

India isn't short of engineers or nurses, and many already have Gulf experience. Finding the few who fit your brief is the hard part. Most of our time goes there.

Roles

Skilled and professional roles we recruit

These six areas cover most of what we're asked for. One-off searches for an unusual role are fine too.

7 roles

Engineering

Site engineers mostly, but design and maintenance people too. Our clients here are contractors, consultants and a few plants.

  • Civil engineer
  • MEP engineer
  • HVAC engineer
  • Electrical engineer
  • Mechanical engineer
  • Planning engineer
  • Quantity surveyor
5 roles

Healthcare

Nurses make up most of this. We also get asked for lab and pharmacy staff fairly often.

  • Staff nurse (ICU, OT, ER)
  • Lab technologist
  • Pharmacist
  • Radiographer
  • Physiotherapist
5 roles

HSE and quality

Safety and quality people. Most clients want NEBOSH or IOSH on the CV, so we check for it.

  • HSE officer
  • Safety engineer
  • QA/QC inspector
  • QA/QC engineer
  • Environmental officer
5 roles

Project and site management

Senior hires. Usually people who have already run a Gulf project or two.

  • Project manager
  • Construction manager
  • Site engineer
  • MEP supervisor
  • General foreman
5 roles

IT and technology

Smaller numbers for us, but steady. Network and ERP roles come up the most.

  • Network engineer
  • System administrator
  • Software developer
  • ERP consultant
  • Cybersecurity analyst
5 roles

Finance and administration

Office side roles. Gulf companies like candidates who already know local VAT and payroll systems.

  • Accountant
  • HR officer
  • Document controller
  • Admin manager
  • Procurement officer

Vetting

How we vet skilled candidates

This takes longer than screening a helper or a mason, and we're fine with that.

Recruiters reviewing a shortlist with a clientYou make the final call
  1. Original documents

Scans can be edited, so we ask to see the actual degree, the mark sheets and the licence. If there's a nursing or engineering council registration, we check it hasn't lapsed.

  2. A call to the old boss

Reference letters all sound the same. So we phone at least one former manager and ask plain questions, like would they hire this person again.

  3. Technical questions

Our first call isn't a chat about hobbies. An HVAC engineer will get asked about load calculations, and an ICU nurse about ventilator care.

  4. You decide

After our call, your own technical person interviews them. Video works for most clients. We never select anyone on your behalf.

  5. Licence paperwork

If the job needs a Gulf licence, we get the documents moving early. Candidates who need to sit an exam get pointed to the right study material.

  6. A written profile

For every shortlisted person you get one page saying what we checked and anything we found. Handy for your HR file.

Paperwork

Licensing, accreditation and attestation

Most delays with professional hires happen here. We start on it as soon as someone is shortlisted, without waiting for final selection.

Healthcare licensing

Every Gulf health authority wants documents verified at source, plus a pass in its own exam. We help candidates with both and send you updates as they go.

Engineering accreditation

Saudi Arabia asks engineers for Saudi Council of Engineers accreditation. Other GCC states have their own rules for certain roles, and we collect whatever each one wants.

Degree attestation

For most professional visas, the degree gets attested in India first and then at the embassy. We take candidates through it so the file's ready by the time the visa is.

What professionals ask before they say yes

Good professionals often have two or three offers. Knowing what worries them helps you write one they'll accept. These come up in almost every call.

  • Can I bring my family?

For a lot of senior people, this decides everything. If you offer family status, mention it in the first conversation and not the last.

  • What's the full package?

They'll compare your offer with two others, line by line. Housing allowance and the yearly ticket home matter nearly as much as basic pay.

  • How long is the contract?

Two years is normal in the Gulf. Still, people want to know if renewal is likely, and what gratuity looks like at the end.

  • Will my licence be recognised?

Nurses especially. Tell them who pays the exam fee and roughly how long it takes, and half their worry goes away.

For employers

How to land the professionals you want

From what we've seen, the clients who hire best do these four things.

  1. Send a full job description

A job title on its own could mean anything. Which projects, which software, who they report to. The more you tell us, the better the match.

  2. Be clear on must-haves

Say clearly what you can't do without. Prior Gulf experience? A certain licence? Then list the nice-to-haves separately.

  3. Move quickly on interviews

Strong candidates get other calls. If your interview happens two weeks after we shortlist, some of them will be gone.

  4. Put the offer in writing early

People believe paper. Send the full package in writing and you'll get answers faster.

How a professional hire comes together

It starts with your job description. We search, check and screen, and you interview whoever makes the list. Attestation and licensing run while your visa is being processed.

Looking for an engineer, nurse or specialist?

Send us the job description. We'll come back within a day with how we'd search for the right person.

hr@kdahiring.com
What is skilled manpower?

It's the term used for professionals with a degree, diploma or licence. In our work that mostly means engineers, nurses, safety officers, IT people and accountants.

Which skilled roles does KDA Hiring recruit?

Over 50 job titles so far. Engineering and nursing are the biggest. If yours isn't on this page, send the job description anyway and we'll say yes or no quickly.

How do you verify a candidate's qualifications?

We look at the original papers, check any council registration and call a former manager. Then we send you a one-page note on each person.

Can you recruit nurses for Gulf hospitals?

Yes, it's one of our main areas. Every Gulf health authority wants documents verified and an exam passed first, so we start on that early.

Do engineers need special approval to work in Saudi Arabia?

In most cases, yes. They need to be accredited by the Saudi Council of Engineers. We help them pull the documents together.

Do skilled professionals need emigration clearance?

Usually not. Graduates normally have ECNR passports, which don't need eMigrate clearance. We check each one anyway.

How long does it take to hire a skilled professional?

Plan for 4 to 8 weeks. Finding the person is often the quick bit. Attestation and licensing are what take time, especially for nurses.

Do candidates pay KDA Hiring a fee?

No. Our fee is paid by the company hiring. Candidates don't pay us at any point.
