The idea behind it was simple. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan are home to some of the most hardworking tradespeople in India, and Gulf employers are always looking for them. What often goes wrong is everything in between. Too many workers still pay large sums to middlemen for a job abroad. Too many employers receive candidates who don't match the CV they were sent. We wanted to run a recruitment agency that fixed both problems at once. The first step was getting our recruiting licence from the Ministry of External Affairs. Then came the team: recruiters who watch a candidate weld a joint or wire a panel before their name goes on any list. Today, companies in all six Gulf states send their requirements to our Lucknow office. We settled the fee question early. Employers pay it.
